Volunteers Deliver Big Time for NYS Senate Candidate Michele Frazier
(Delhi, NY) – Volunteers seeking signatures from registered Democrats to place NYS Senate candidate Michele Frazier’s (D-Delhi) name on the ballot in November, and earlier if there’s a primary, delivered 3,778 signatures: nearly 3.8 times the legally required amount of 1,000 signatures.
“I am both grateful and honored that so many volunteers throughout District 51 took time away from their families and busy lives to gather signatures on my behalf. The number they delivered far exceeded my expectations. When I arrive in Albany, I’ll be working just as hard for every one of them, and for every other resident who deserves the best from their elected leaders”, said Frazier.
Gathering signatures for what are known as Designating Petitions are part of a legally required process for every candidate for office in New York State. In this case the required number of 1,000 signatures must be from registered Democrats eligible to vote in the 7-county region comprising NYS Senate District 51, which includes all of Otsego, Delaware, Schoharie and Sullivan Counties, and portions of Chenango, Broome, and Ulster Counties.
